OUT of 315 drivers employed by Watney Combe Reid and Co., Ltd., and entered for the 1958 National Safe Driving Competition, 267; or 86 per cent., qualified for awards. This compared with 77 per cent, of the entry who received awards in the competition in 1957. When the awards.,. Were presented last week, Mr. Sanders Watney, a director of Watney Mann, Ltd., disclosed that the 460 vehieles in the Watney fleet had covered 4,445,000 miles during 1958.
