Titan has a strong reputation as a designer and builder of durable, high capacity custom-built Thinwall trailers. It is showcasing two trailers at Tip-ex 10; one to suit the aggregate/asphalt industry and one for the waste hauling industry.
Titan launched the trailer industry's first extruded aluminium smoothside design in 1996, answering the problem familiar throughout the trucking world: how to add more payload without compromising durability. Titan's patented Thinwall panels quickly set the standard for smoothside waste trailers. Since then, Thinwall has proven versatile, adapted to the needs of many industries, including: aggregates, asphalt, demolition, scrap, recycling, forestry, as well as soil remediation and the hauling of contaminated soil. The light weight extruded panels will allow 10% more load volume than traditional trailers while cutting fuel use.
Both demo trailers have the Extreme Duty VFloor self-unloaders from Keith Walking Floor. The aggregate/asphalt application trailer has an overall height of 3,359mm, a side wall height of 1,894mm and incorporates the new Flat-top steel V-Floor. The waste trailer, custom-built to handle the additional volume has an overall height of 4,253mm, a sidewall height of 2,800mm and is designed with a regular thick steel V-Floor. The V-Floor Unloader Systems are designed to handle heavy impacts and abrasive materials.
