Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The boom in used sales continues apace at IVanheim Auctions. Manheim Auctions reports that its January-March sales were up by nearly a third on last year's figure. National HGV and plant manager Jeremy Martell puts the 32% rise down to a steady supply of good, healthy stock —combined with some assertive marketing and continually gauging the buyers' requirements

But he's not complacent:"We are enjoying good sales this year; I can't say enough about the good season we are having. But it's a very competitive marketplace and we're grateful for what we receive." The sale at Colchester on 10 May turned over £1.2m (ex-VAT), with 73% of the 175 lots finding buyers. With second-hand tippers thin on the ground the three that went under

hammer were all snapped up. Pick of the bunch was a 2000 X-reg Scania with a 340hp engine which went for £25,500 (ex-VAT) ; a 2001 Y-reg MAN raised £22,000 (ex-VAT). The sale attracted a good mix of bidders: two council buyers eagerly snapped up seven 7.5-tonne tippers, paying £4,200 (ex VAT) for 1997 P-reg examples.A 2002 52 E17 Iveco with the Tector engine made

£14,750 (ex-VAT).

Short-bodied 7.5-tonners were in demand too — a 2000 W-reg Daf 45 130 with 43,000km on the clock made £8,200 (ex-VAT). Martell says the 16ft body will be replaced by a tipper. Three and two-axle tractors didn't dominate the sale even though three-axle Daf 85s with 430 engines

continue to be plentiful.
