Taxi and van drivers — even doctors — can work 24 hours a day if they like and no one says a word. But if an WV driver stays at the wheel for more than nine hours, he/she can be taken to court and be fined.
And how do people think drivers can have a w old lifestyle on drivers' hourly rates of pay?
[(the Government wants to stop drivers from working longer than they should, the answer simple; bring in a fixed hourly wage for drivers and bring haulage rates into line with the rest of the EC.

Our rates at preselt are around 75p per mile

If rates are not changed, British trucks and drivers will vanish and only foreign trucks and drivers ill remain.
