• BRS Taskforce is looking for around 15 drivers for work it has won in South Wales— it wants about 11 drivers for ADR work at Neath and about four for general haulage in Chepstow.
PSI Freight buys
• PSI. Freight has bought two forwarding firms in the Midlands. Goldline Forwarding specialises in the Irish market, operating 10 full load departures a week and Channel Freight Services carries out at least three runs a week to Jersey and Guernsey
Parcels centre
• Securicor Omega Express has opened a new parcels distribution centre in south Wales serving 50 vehicles carrying 7,000 packages a day. The depot at Nantgarw, near Cardiff, is designed to cope with rapid growth in traffic during the next decade.
