N'ppoiotments and promotions have been made by the British Motor Corporation to create closer co-ordination of activities of the constituent companies.

Mr. Arthur Keats, chairman and managing director of Fisher and Ludlow, Ltd.; has joined the board of the B.M.C. Mr. J. F. Bramley, Mr_ J. R. Edwards and Mr. S. 1. Wheeler have joined the board of the Austin Motor Co., Lid., following their service as local directors.

Mr. Harrison, a director of Morris Motors. Ltd., has been appointed B.M.C. director of home sales. His deputy will he Mr. Sangster. Mr. J. W. R. Penrose will be Austin home sales manager, and Mr. L. A. Bowles home sales manager of the Nuffield Organization.

New home sales executives of Austin are Mr. E. A. Webb (cars) and Mr. W. H. Hooper (commercial vehicles), and of Nuffield, Mr. K. H. J. Sinnott (Morris cars) and Mr. T. Cummings (Nuffield tractors).

Mr. Bramley has been appointed director of export sales of the B.M.C. Mr. Tuck will be his deputy.

Mr. Malone is manager of Nuffield

Exports, Ltd., as well as a local Morris Motors director. Mr. 3. W. Bache 'is the sales director and manager of the Austin Motor Export Corporation. Lt.-Col. R. E. M. Pratt has become a director and sales' executive 'of the A.M.E.C., and Mr. L. A. Beare a director and sales executive of Nuffield Exports, Ltd. Mr. F. Potter has been appointed Nuffield export sales executive for commercial vehicles 'and Mr. E. M. Gibbs. Austin • commercia% vehicle export sales executive.

Maj.-Gen. Clayton is gsneral manager of the B.M.C. service department. The deputy general manager is Mr. F. C. Achurch, chief accountant Mr. G. H. Butler, parts executive Mr. H. N. Whitehouse. and service technical executive Mr. G. D. P. King.

Mr. C. Spires has become branch manager of Morris-Commercial Cars.

Mr. Durant has been appointed B.M.0 director of supplies. with Mr. Hewson deputy director of supplies. Mr. J. A. Grcatorex has become chief buyer of the Austin concern and Mr. G. D. Smith chief buyer of Morris Motors.

.Mr. G. M. Palmer has become technical manager of the B.M.C. and Mr. W. V. Appleby, chief engine designer. Mr. H. King and Mr. G. Argyle are joint chief commercialvehicle designers of She B.M.C.
