C.I.E. Fares Up: On Monday a 411. minimum fare was introduced on Coras lornpair Eireann buses in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford. Except for the existing 4d. fare, all fares are increased by Id. and the 5d. fare is eliminated. Fares on rail and C.T.E. provincial road services have gone up by 10 per cent.

Stockton Take-over: At Durham last week, Mr. D. Rennison. Stockton coach owner, successfully applied to the Northern Traffic Commissioners for both longand shortterm licences to operate buses from Stockton to Hutton Rudby and Swainby. This is one of the routes covered by Crowe Bros, of Osmotherley for the past 38 years. Mr. Rennison said he would be taking over the Crowe Bros. business and would start operating services on April 5.

Bradford Fares Up? The latest pay award will cost Bradford Corporation Transport nearly £69,000 a year and the transport committee chairman, Mr. L. Dunne, has warned that a fares increase is likely. Bradford, whose passenger decline has been halted, has not increased fares since September, 1961:
