Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AA DEMONSTRATION run in a Bristol RE 36-ft. coach was staged for the technical Press by Bristol Commercial Vehicles Ltd. this week. The coach was one of a batch of 47-seaters for the Eastern National Omnibus Co. Ltd., and generally similar to the vehicles described in The Commercial Motor of October 25 last.

Unladen weight of the demonstration vehicle was 8 tons 5 cwt. 3 qrs.; it was powered by a Gardner 6HLX engine set at the maximum rating to give an output of 150 b.h.p. The trip commenced at the central station, Gloucester, from which the coach proceeded to the Ross Spur Motorway for a series of fast runs. Maximum indicated speed reached here was 62 m.p.h. and the vehicle maintained a steady 60 m.p.h. average over a long stretch of the motorway.

After lunch at Ross7ort-Wye the return to Gloucester was made by way of the M5 motorway and A4I7 to demonstrate the vehicle's riding over varied roads.

The seats were well-spaced and comfortable, with plenty of room for long legs, especially on the offside. F.K.M.
