1"IIE fourth anniversary of the open1 ing of Victoria Coach Station, probably the largest of its kind in the world, was celebrated yesterday (Thursday). A display of luxury coaches was a part of the event.

Among those who were to be present at the anniversary party were the Earl Howe, and Messrs. S. E. Garcke, J. N. 'Hulbert, M.P., F. G. Bristow, R. W. Sewill, G. N. Wilson, F. A. Flin, N. A. Hardy and Major Harris. Commercial aviation was to be represented by Messrs. Handover, Waugh, Little and A. C. M. Jackman. The directors of London Coastal Coaches, Ltd., hosts of the party, included Messrs. H. I. .Robinson .(Maidstone and District and East Kent companies), • B. Smith (National Omnibus group), A. E. Cannon (Southdown Motor Services, Ltd.), S. H. James (Pickfords, Ltd.), C. E. Holmes, G. Cardwell (Thos. Tilling, Ltd.), and W. S. Wreathall (British Electrical Federation, Ltd.).

London Coastal Coaches, Ltd., made full use of the occasion to launch its new coach travel club, a scheme for the payment of coach tickets by instalments. The method chosen is the issue to the public of travel club cards with 36 squares for the adhesion of as many Is. stamps, which can be bought at any Coastal branch or agency. The card need not be filled before it is exchanged for a ticket, and, should the amount of stamps not correspond with the value of the ticket, the deficit can be made up in cash, or, in the case of a surplus, be refunded or credited on a new card.

A stamped card can be exchanged not only for the ordinary coach tickets, but also in connection with tours, inclusive holidays and private hire.
