MR. JUSTICE MECiAW, MR. W. H. F/TZSIYIHONS, F.C.A., and MR. JOHN B. Maaaiso-N, J.P., have been appointed an arbitration tribunal under the Northern Ireland Road and Railway Transport Act. Mr. Justice Megaw is chairman, and the tribunal will determine the consideration to be paid for any road-transport undertaking acquired by the Northern Ireland Road Transport Board, where this has not been determined by agreement.

After the war, Mr. Skipper joined the engineering staff of Ruston and Hornsby, Ltd., later being appointed to a similar posi tion with the Austin concern. In-1922 he joined Leyland Motors, Ltd., and played an active part in the works reorganization, being production manager, whilst for the past four years he was works manager.

Mr. Skipper has travelled extensively in America and on the Continent in order to study modern production methods.

MR. C. K. EDWARDS has been appointed chief engineer to Shelvoke and Drewry, Ltd., Letchworth. He will devote his energies to the design, development and improvement of the company's specialized range of vehicles and apparatus for municipal cleansing and other uses.

Mr. Edwards has had a long and varied experience in the commercialvehicle industry, starting as far back as 1907 with the Napier concern. He was subsequently with the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., for 17 years, holding appointments as chief draughtsman, assistant works manager, chief designer and engineer up to 1929. In the next three years he served as chief engineer, to the Morris-Commercial concern and, for the past 3ls years, has been chief engineer to Guy Motors, Ltd.

MR. C. W. WROTH was, on Tuesday, selected as general manager of Stockport Corporation tramways department, in succession to Mt. A. T. Eardly, who retires next. month. The appointment remains to be confirmed by the town council. Mr. Wroth has been with the North-Western Road Car Co., Ltd., for, 12 years. Previously he was with Thomas Tilling, Ltd.
