With the additional improvements now proposed, the estimated expenditure is £133,400. The scheme will take about 2? years to complete.

Karrier Reorganization Complete.

A busy period of reorganization, following the decision to concentrate the production of Harrier vehicles at Luton, has recently been completed. The transference has involved an almost complete reorganization, and, over a period of months, plant and machinery have been installed, whilst a new building, with 60,000 sq. ft. of floor space, has approached completion in proximity to the existing Commer factory. A sum of £100,000 has been expended in extensions, reorganization and new plant.

No loss of individuality is brought about by this concentration of manufacturing resources, and the Commer concern will, in the main, continue to devote attention to the development of more "normal types of goods vehicle, Whilst the Hareier organization will concentrate on less orthodox types.
