Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

There's a lot to be said for buying a "complete vehicle" without having to worry about the extra hassles of speccing a body. The Vario is the last of the big vans; although it's also available as a chassiscab to suit bespoke bodywork if you need it. Short supply of used examples maintains residuals, which are also protected to some degree as most become available through Mercedes-Benz's own used trucks network. The narrow dimensions coupled with the large-volume body and a good payload suit operations in congested town environments, but an improved steering lock would help manoeuvring. Engine access is tight but the engine and driveline have proved to be very reliable. Brakes could be more durable though. Overall Vario is a unique product, whose dedicated following speaks for itself.
