The Fidus Top Speed Governor prevents a vehicle being driven at excessive speeds. Fidus claims it impro safety, achieves better fuel consumption and involves le: wear and tear. An electronic probe, aimed at a propshaft bolthead, provides input to a control unit which has been preset to a maximum road• speed.
When the road speed react this maximum, the control ur activates a device which pulls back the fuel rack and preven further acceleration.
