)ME OF Cully's recollections n-le straight out of a Carry On m. There was, for instance, the st visit to a depot by internal iditors, who asked what ;opened to drivers' pay
ickets when the office had ased.
"Well, it's like this yer," they are told, "We takes 'em to the Idlord of our local and 's takes re of 'em. 'E also takes out the showed to 'im."
On another occasion thieves oke into a depot and emptied e safe by drilling a hole in the ick. Long afterwards it was still use, securely locked and with ; hand-sized hole in the back. A missing case of antiques for hich the insurers had paid up was eventually found in use as a desk in a depot office.
Kenneth Williams and the gang can never have been far away.
