Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Tyre inflation, when carried out in th i e . usual Manner, involves considerable delay apart from the laborious nature of the work, but with the H.E. Rototlator, which is designed and marketed by Harvey, Frost and Co,, Ltd., of 148-150, Groat Portland Street, London, W. 1, a, disagreeable task is turned into a simple and easy operation.

The Rototlator is a, four-cylinder rotary air compressor, which •gives a remarkably uniform flow of pure air up to any required pressure. The body of the compreasor is mounted on a central spindle about .. which it rotates. An eccentric cam on this spindle transmits a reciprocating motion to the four cylinders, the pistons being relatively stationary. Air enters at one end of the spindle and is delivered at the other end. Suction and delivery ports are contained within. the cans.

It will be appreciated that adequate lubrication and oil-free air delivery are two of the most important considerations, CS

and these factors are met by the fact that air enters the Rotoflator through the centre spindle, whilst the lubricating oil is thrown outwards by centrifugal force, and is always located at the periphery of the fast-moving rotor. So effective is this action thatthe compressor is able to run in a bath of oil. The air and oil never intermingle, and no oil

filter is required. . The Rotoflator it driven by an electric motor,' the whole equipment being mounted on a handy trolley." The appliance is certainly built on diatinetly novel lines, and one of its great features is its portability. The Rototiator has 'been on the market only a short time, but, since its introduction as an electric motor-driven tyre-inflating equipment, an alternative form for belt drive from existing power has been introduced.

Further particulars of either the trolley 'set or the belt-driven, model can be obtained from the company.
