Official Information, Aided by Maps, Which Should Prove of Inestimable Value to Coach Proprietors.

SINCE this feature was established some three months ago we have repeatedly enumeratea the aims and objects of our scheme, and we do not, therefore, think it necessary to reiterate week by week the Various benefits which accrue, to both coach owners and drivers, by a close study of the official information, aided by maps, which we are publishing each week concerning the parking facilities provided in most of the popular coaching centres throughout the country. We will, therefore, for the next week or two confine .onrselver to the publication of a list giving details of the plant which have already appeared, as well as giving details of the arrangements made in other cities and towns.

We have already dealt with the parking arrangements in the following towns and cities.:—Oxford, Norwich, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Penzance, Carnaryon, Clacton .on.Sea, Weymouth, Exeter, Canterbury, Bournemouth. Lie ncludno, Yoth,

Worcester, Penrith, Basingstoke, Matlock (including Matlock Bath and Cromford) Chester, Ashbourne, Salisbury, Retford, 'Blackpool, Elgin' Dumfries' Hastings, Scarborough, Margate, Buxton Forfar, Leicester, Thirsk, Whitby, Newquay, Maidstone,

Buxton, Torquay, Kilmarnock, Stirling and Windsor.. This week we deal with the regulations in force in Barnard Castle and Lownstoft.

BARNARD CASTLE.—Chars-A-bmcs vieiting Barnard Castle must set down their passengers on arrival an the wide street called Galgate, where there is no danger to other vehicular traffic. The empty coaches must then proceed to the Market Place and stand in the centre, side by side, with the engines towards the main road, so that any one can be moved off

without disturbing the adjoining vehicles. The charge is 2s. 6d. per motor coach per day. LOWESTOFT.—Chars-a-bancs, not licensed within the borough of Lowestoft, arriving from the north mist stop and start, at the Maeina, near. the Labour Club. Motor coaches arriving from the south must park at Parade Road South. Visiting chars-à-bancs are not permitted to use the Royal Plain site.
