• The owner of Powysbased Potter Transport has been fined C14,000 for operating defective tachographs and For permitting drivers to breach drivers hours regulations.
James Potter was convicted by Weld-pool magistrates of two offences of defective tachographs and 43 offences of permitting drivers to break hours rules. The company operates tank and refrigerated vehicles in the UK and abroad.
The fine follows 43 drivers' hours convictions in May against 11 of the company's drivers.
Potter Transport is considering an appeal.
