rivers approaching this bridge in Wandsworth, south London, face a contradictory set of messages. They can take their truck over the bridge, providing it does not exceed 12 tonnes and that they don't stop to admire the scenery But the road is closed and they must turn back.
It would seem that it is a nogo area—the "No Entry" and "Road Closed" signs were erected when the road was narrowed over the bridge for one-way traffic.I suppose it would have been too simple to remove the original sign.
