style when crossing La Manche from next January with French ferry operator Societe Nouvelle d'Armement Transmanche (SNAT) planning to revamp its Dover-Calais service.
The Sea France will run 14 crossings a day with the Fiesta and the Cate d'Azure passenger ships, with a freight service on the Nord-pas de Calais. "We will inject a French
feel into it in a number of ways, which we're looking at," says SNAT, which is owned by French railway company SNCF.
It wants to draw in passengers with its Gallic service at a time when cross-Channel traffic is growing fast. Truck and car traffic both grew by 26% last year, coaches by 11% and foot passenger traffic by 13.5%.
