Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Metropolitan Cammell, a member of the Laird Group, is studying the possibility of producing its own truck chassis, it was revealed this week. A team led by Mr Steve Oxley, former chief engineer of Atkinson Vehicles Ltd (see People, page 21), is currently working on a number of feasibility studies. The team will operate from an office in Chorley, Lancs.

It is understood that one of these projects involves a 16-ton-gross rigid chassis/cab. Another member of the Laird group produces the Shark refuse body under licence from its German designer. The body is normally mounted on vehicles of this type.
