Ifs the time of the year when manufacturers go sale crazy, giving you the opportunity to pick up a bargain. CM loo Ks at what's on offer in the LCV market.

Citroen There are discounts aplenty with up to £4,000 off Relays, £2,000 off Dispatch and Berlingo and £1,700 off the C15. Contract-hire deals are also available throughout the range. Typical monthly payments based on 20,000 miles per year are Berlingo 1.9D LX, £148, Dispatch 2.0HDI 900 Enterprise, £220 and Relay 11002.01-ED1,£230. Vehicles must be ordered by 31 January and registered by 31 March.

Ford

In its 40th year, Ford has introduced three increased value special editions of the Transit. The entry level Transit Leader features front and rear mud flaps and a CD/radio. Starting price is £12,950 for the 84hp T260.

Transit SilverBlue comes with plenty of extras, including electric heated door mirrors and windows, heated windscreen and tinted glass. Prices start at £14,750 for the T280 99lip model. Transit Hallmark gets all this plus air-condi tioning, a choice of four metallic paint colours and an unglazed bulkhead with a saving of £500 over the equivalent standard model. There are also two limited edition Transit Connect models. The Connect LX Plus gets a standard side load door on the SWB and metal lic paint on both the SWB and LWB versions with a saving of up to £250.The Connect Hallmark gets the same plus air conditioning for a saving of £450.

All Transits and Connects £1,000 or £750 cash back respectively, plus six free services over three years.

Mercedes-Benz

Not one to be outdone, Mercedes has reduced its entry-level Vito and Sprinter models. Reduced from a list price of around £14k, the Vito 109CDI Compact is available at £12.495. If that's too small. the Sprinter takes an even bigger chop with the 308CDI SWB down from £18.738 to £14,995.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi is offering its Shogun Pinin on a 50/50 finance deal with a 50% deposit and the remainder interest free for the first year or with a low rate after that period.

Nissan

Nissan is currently offering either two-year 0% finance or three-year low-rate finance deals on all LCV models with a 30% deposit upfront.

Peugeot

Peugeot has a whole raft of contract-hire deals on its Partner and Boxer models. Based on a threeyear, 36,000 mile deal with three month's deposit, the Partner 600 L 1.9D is available from just £33 a week, the Expert 815 1.9 D for £41 and the Boxer 2502.0 HDI for £51.

Renault

For those of you that like to spread your payments Renault is offering 0% finance on its entire LCV range for up to three years. And if that wasn't enough to make you go out and buy one immediately, it's also throwing in three years' free servicing.

Volkswagen

A decent product range makes VW's finance lease offer all the more tempting. It allows you to choose an agreement period between 12 and 48 months, make an advanced payment, and then, if required, defer a proportion of the finance costs to the end of the agreement.

For example a Caddy SDI 69hp over three years works out at a weekly equivalent of £39 a week (35 monthly payments of 1169 per month) after an advance payment of £2,282.50 and a incorporating a final payment of £3,135.

Based on the same principle the Transporter T28 84hp works out at £49 per week.

lveco The Italian manufacturer is set to offer finance deals on its new 3.0litre Daily, details to be confirmed.
