Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A No. In this connection it needs to be emphasized that the term "motor car" as used in the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1966, includes goods vehicles with an unladen weight not exceed

ing 3 tons. Regulation 51. relating to seat belts and anchorage points, states that it applies to every motor car registered on or after April 1 1967 which is not, among others, a goods vehicle with an unladen weight exceeding 30 cwt. It follows therefore, that goods vehicles with an unladen weight less than 30 cwt. will have to meet the requirements of this regulation both as regards anchorage points and seat belts.

Full details of these requirements are given in the Construction and Use Regulations, 1966 No. 1288, available from the HM Stationery Office, price 6s. 6d.
