Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Vehicle dimensions: Changes proposed to C&U regulations early in 1997 to allow drawbars up to 18.75m overall length, bringing into force the provision of EU Directive 96/53.

• Vehicles weights: Department of Transport consultation launched on increasing vehicle weight limit to 44 tonnes.

• Bridge bashing: Revised proposals for automatic warning devices on power-operated equipment and for cab notices with height information on vehicles over 3m high (including load) except vehicles below 4m on international journeys. Final details still awaited from DOT.

• LGV test fees: Proposals from Vehicle Inspectorate for revised test fees. Overall 3% reduction in LGV test fees. Supplement proposed for testing at operators' premises.

Vehicle registration: Consultation launched by the DVLA on a new V5 Vehicle Registration Document.

VED-off-road notification: Preliminary proposals from DVLA for dual notification of vehicle disposals and confirmation of "off-road" status under discussion.
