Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

May I refer to your report headlined "The First Lady" (People, CM January 23).

Mrs Shaw is by no means the first manager or assistant manager of a BRS branch. I recall in the early 1950s a Miss Bennett, manager of the ex Bouts & Tillotson, Bournemouth branch, and a Miss Newland, manager of the Guildford branch.

There were other ladies in BRS management including, I believe, a Miss Walker in the East Midlands. I may say all were highly regarded by employees and conducted successful businesses.
