Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A LORRY BAN in Sheffield is being partially lifted after the council recognised the essential service that LGVs provide to local businesses.

At a Cabinet Highways committee meeting last week, members approved a report suggesting that existing restrictions on lorries on Bocking Lane should be lifted during the day. It explained that nearby Abbey Lane (B6068), Whirlowdale Road (B6375) and Bocking Lane were the only suitable routes in the south of the city to access areas bounded by the A621, A625 and A61.

"This has been a difficult issue to tackle — it was important to carry out a city-wide review of LGV routes to avoid moving the problems from one area to another," said councillor Leigh Bramall, the city council's cabinet member for business, skills and development.

"We are committed to working with Derbyshire county council to reduce the volume of LGV traffic coming through Sheffield as a result of bans they have implemented. We will work with sat-nay companies and hauliers to ensure they are aware of our preferred network."
