; Two one-day conferences to explain the
• provisions of the Transport Act and their • implications are to be held next spring by the Freight Transport Association—the amalgams • tion of the TRTA, NTTA and TCCT.
• The first, on March 4, will be at the London • Hilton Hotel with a fee per delegate of £7 10s, • the second on March 25 at Belle Vue, • Manchester, fee E610s.
• Each conference will open with a summary of • the Act: this will be followed by sessions on • operators' licences, led by Ministry officials; • • transport managers' licensing, with a paper by • the TML committee chairman Mr. D. H. Joyce; • and :drivers' hours, tachographs and produc• • tivity deals.
• Both conferences are RTITB grant-approved;
• other training boards have been approached for • a, grant. approval.
