• The two six-wheel rigid models in the Dodge 500 Series are now available with the Perkins 6.354 diesel as an optional power unit. Both models—the KT900 6 x 4 and KR900 6 x 2—are designed for plated gross weight of 20 tons and the standard engine will continue to be the Perkins V8.510, with the second option the Cummins V8-185. When the 6.354 is fitted. the KT900 is available with alternative twospeed-axle rear bogies, a 16-ton capacity 'assembly with ratios of 7.17 and 9.97 to 1 and the second bogie has a capacity of 17 tons with ratios of 7.17 and 9.77 to 1.
