Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CM heard a splendid rumour this week, writes the technical editor, that Leyland is considering listing its long-serving 690 engine as an option for the forthcoming T45 model range.

Other engine options will probably be the TL12 unit at present fitted in the Marathon and the Cummins 335.

The possible choice of the 690 is something of a surprise as the basic design has been around for longer than anyone at Leyland would care to remember.
