A NOTTINGHAM haulage contracrA•tor was fined a total of £6 at Nottingham, last week, after admitting using three improperly licensed vehicles to carry cycles to London.

He told the court that he had arranged to do the journey for his customer, Raleigh Industries, Ltd., on the assumption that a number of vehicles he was buying from British Road Services would be available. They did not arrive in time, and he did not want to disappoint his customer.

Saying that it was a case in which they could be lenient, the magistrates fined James Gamble, 62 Swain's Avenue, Nottingham, £2 on each of three summonses, and ordered him to pay £3 3s. advocate's fee.

BRADFORD MODEL FOR MUSEUM

A MODEL trolleybus is to be made L'A in the works of Bradford Transport Department for permanent loan to the Science Museum, South Kensington. The British Electrical and Allied Manufacturers' Association suggested that a Bradford trolleybus would be most suitable for display in view of the long association of the city with this type of vehicle.

NEW HALIFAX BUS STATION
