Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two permanent decks of Weldmesh. full length floor drains, ventilation by four electric fans, a Ratcliff tail-lift and rollinggate deck partitions are included in the features of a new 32-ton-gvw pig carrier, built by Tiverton Body and Container Co Ltd, Tiverton. Based on a special M and G stepped-frame semi-trailer produced for the application, the outfit is hauled by a Volvo F88 tractive unit and has been supplied to Cambac Pig Sales Ltd.

The body is framed in tublar steel and panelled in high-tensile aluminium alloy. It is designed to carry a payload of 14/15 tons, its capacity in numbers being 150/160 pigs. Controlled access is provided for the pigs by rear gates with sliding panels. Flood lights are fitted at the rear of each deck.

Having a capacity of 30cwt, the Ratcliff electro /hydraulic tail—lift incorporates power-assisted opening and closing mechanisms and has fold—away front, side and rear sections. While the tail-lift can be used for off-loading from the upper deck, this is normally done with the aid of a fixed ramp on the premises visited that allows for direct off-loading with a special vehicle ramp. The four 24in. electrically—driven fans are 'supplied with current by Honda petrol—engined power packs. Emergency doors are flitted in the sides of the body and there are emergency panels in the roof.
