Both front and rear wheels are steerable, but one pair is locked according to which _w.ay the vehicle is to run. The driving motors are housed in a box over each axle, and the cardan shafts descend vertically.

The drawing shows the novel system by which the load can be tipped to either side at a point well clear of the 'wheels. The running position is shown in full lines and the tipped Wition in chain A pair of hydraulic rams (1), one at each end, provide the tipping power. These pivot about points (2) and when extended, as shown. at (3), propel the body well clear of the frame. A single tipping body may be used, or two separate ones. In the latter case, a middle additional axle would be ' provided, making the vehicle into a six wheeler, B/2
