BUS FLEET FOR LAHORE: The West Pakistan Road Transport Board have ordered 17 A.E.C. Regent Mk. V chassis. Bodywork for the new buses will he constructed by the operator.
LEY LANDS FOR DOMINICA: 160.000 worth of 'Leyland Comet and Super Comet Chassis hare been ordered for the Dominican Republic. The order, from A Hamlet, C. por A., of Santa Domingo. calls for 18 Super Comets with powerassisted steering, and 12 Comets. Four of the Super Comets will he tippers with Edbro gear and bodywork; and the rest will he haulage models.
£250.000: During the past few weeks home and export orders for Guy lorries and buses have amounted to over £250,000, The largest individual order was for 25 Wulfrunian double-deckers for West Riding Automobile Co.. Ltd. The chassis will be fitted with 77seater bodies by Roe. Lancashire United Transport. Ltd,. have ordered 17 Arab double-deckers, for which bodies will he built by Northern Counties. Chester Corporation have ordered four Arab double-deckers and Moore Bros. (Kelvedon) a further two. Tate and Lyle have ordered four Warrior fourwheelers—two tractive units and two for van bodies—and three Warrior tractive units have been ordered by the Coventry firm of Furness and Parker. Export orders have been received for 13 Victory single-decker bus chassis for Holland and Belgium. In addition, four Warriors have been ordered for Eire.
