Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PALL-EX has recruited The Potter Group to take over part of its pallet distribution network in East Anglia. Potter, which has a 20,000m2 rail-connected warehouse at Ely in Cambridgeshire, is replacing Knights of Old as the franchisee covering Peterborough and the surrounding area.

Pall-Ex marketing director Chris Martin says Potter's multimodal services could benefit the network in the long term.

"I think it complements our service further to have a link wit ha supplier that can do rail freight quite easily," he adds.

Martin says one of the reasons its £12m huh was located in Ellistown. Leicestershire was because it could be linked up to rail.

Kettering-based Knights will continue to serve the Pall-Ex network in Northamptonshire and south Leicestershire.

Emily Clark, Potter's group marketing manager, points out that the company has spent a long time preparing for its entry into pallet distribution.
