Director Mark Skuse says: "This is unbelievable. lam fully supportive of measures to make sure that vehicles are roadworthy, but surely the inspectors have better things to do, such as stopping those vehicles that actually are a danger to the public.
"The new bulb cost just 27p; the incident cost us around £1,000 in lost business, and we had to hire a replacement vehicle to do the job."
