caent police and three fire engines raced to a depot of Lynx Parcels in Dartford after a warning that a parcel from France was leaking gas—a chemical spillage or an incendiary device was suspected, possibly even Semtex_ The emergency services squad donned protective suits and gingerly approached the suspect device, from which gas was now pouting, and prepared to neutralise it. Just them PC Alan Thornley arrived, armed with a secret weapon. Unlike 99% of his fellow countrymen he speaks French and was able to read the label. He announced to the worried crew—wait for it— that the package was a bucketful of horse semen packed in dry ice, the "gas" leaking out through the lid. Don't you hate it when that happens?
