Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• P&O European Ferries has introduced a new menu on the Dover-Calais route, based on driver's requests.

Drivers can choose from steak, English or light continental breakfasts. For lunch or dinner the menu will include classic chef's steak and kidney pie or half a roast chicken. Alternative dishes of the day include curries, pasta, roasts, salad, and vegetarian meals.

"We listen to drivers and give them what they want," says P&O. "The menu is changed yearly or depending upon demand."

The menu caters for foreign drivers too, but don't expect scrambled eggs topped off with porridge, even though this is a firm favourite with Turkish drivers on the dedicated freight service between Dover and Zeebrugge. Southampton/Isle of Wight ferry operator Red Funnel is serving up a special. It's giving drivers a mug of tea for 10p and a 10% discount on food on presentation of a voucher which will be handed out at the Southampton and East Cowes freight offices.
