Some of the claimed advantages of this American-sourced product include smoother assembly and reduced torque requirements for a proper clamping load, reduced galvanic action between dissimilar metals and component protection for a longer working life.
In addition it's temperature resistant up to 982°C, is non-toxic, lead free, has a non-settling formula and is able to serve as an extreme pressure lubricant.
It also has the potential for reducing downtime and labour costs due to easy disassembly, says the company. The product is available in a 28 gram (loz) tube for £3.15, a 280g (10oz) tin for £9.16, 450g (16oz) is £12.63, 1.1kg (2.51b) costs £26.19 and 3.6kg (81b) of the compound is £94.53 (all prices ex-VAT).
