A No. Differentials of this type are pro
duced, for example, by the ENV Engineering Co. Ltd., Hythe Road, Willesden, London, NW10, for cars, light vans and Land-Rovers, but no gear manufacturer caters for the heavyvehicle user.
Heavy trucks and earth-moving machines are available in America with limited-slip differentials and many operators in this country would welcome them. Apparently the demand is not sufficient to justify the tooling-up costs involved.
