Alice Holt Forest, near Alton, Hants, last Sunday night (27 September) and stole a Forestry Commission ERF tractor unit and its flatbed trailer, which is fitted with an Atlas loading crane.
The workshop is at Gravel Hill Road and the vehicle was last seen at the site around 8pm on the Sunday night. The tractive unit's chassis serial number is 43591, its engine number is 23162481 and its nine-speed gearbox is marked RT0A9509A. The cab number is 280238 C2TRSBO, and the serial number of the Atlas crane is AK3006AIAM.
Liveried in Forestry Commission green, the ERF has two amber flashing lights fitted to the top of the cab and a Michelin-man figurine. The registration number of the unit is WSX 3W. Hampshire, unlike neighbouring Wiltshire, has not suffered a large number of truck thefts to date.
