GFASPO EXTENDS ON LCV PARTS • General Motors Service Parts Operations (GMSPO) has extended the warranty on all genuine GM parts and accessories for its Bedford light commercial vehicle range to cover unlimited distance, in addition to the current 12months parts and labour guarantee.
The extended warranty is available at no extra cost through Vauxhall/Bedford's UK dealers.
FIXED PRICE MAINTENANCE PLAN • Leeds-based Contract Care Plan is offering a fixed price maintenance and repair scheme which covers every aspect of servicing, maintenance and repair work on all CVs from carderived vans to 38-tonne tractive units.
Contract Care Plan has designed the scheme to provide complete indemnity against all maintenance costs, without the 'fair wear and tear' clause often found in other contract maintenance schemes. As a result all replacement parts are included, as and when they are needed.
Contract Care Plan covers all routine maintenance, safety inspections and repairs, which it arranges through the vehicle manufacturer's franchised dealers, using only approved parts.
Statutory testing and tacho graph calibration is also included in the package.
The CCP scheme includes independent monitoring of the vehicle's condition by Freight Transport Association vehicle inspectors. It can also supply a replacement vehicle after two days — or pay the operator up to £100 per day in lieu of a replacement.
Additionally, CCP will extend the scheme to cover an individual operators' requirements for bodywork maintenance and specialist equipment.
