Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

1200 ton Drier giant A COMPLETELY new range of heavy duty multi-axle low loaders has been announced by Taskers Trailers Ltd.

The Andover based company has signed a licensing agreement with DelattreLevivier of France to manufacture multi-wheeled trans porters constructed in modules with a self elevating hydraulic suspension.

The new range incorporates components which have been proved on the continent over the last five years.

Commenting on the arrangement, Mr Leonard Fuller, Director of Taskers Trailers said: "The agreement has been made to cater for payloads of over 75 tons where the distribution of loads over multiple axles becomes very difficult with any form of current mechanical suspension as full compensation for loading between all tyres usually prejudices the platform height.

"In addition, because of site and road manoeuverability requirements, it is advisable to, have all axles linked and steerable."

The principle of the new Taskers range is to produce sub-assemblies or modules composed of three or four lines of axles which may be used alone as road bogies or coupled longitudinally or laterally to one or several other bogies.

The bogie or module unit, therefore, is in itself a trailer or it can be used within a larger assembly of modules to make up a higher duty unit.
