Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AILSA HAVE always been astute in turning bus shortages to their advantage. When Leyland chassis were in short supply the Ailsa chassis was promoted for its quick delivery.

Hold-ups now occur at the bodybuilders, so Ailsa have just announced a deal with Willowbrook to help speed delivery of complete vehicles.

Ailsa hope this will also help to boost their flagging sale of bus chassis.

Willowbrook, who have just , restarted their double-deck production line with an order on thirty Leyland chassis for Tyne and Wear also want to keep their production line busy — but not necessarily with Ailsa chassis.

"We are prepared to body any make of double-deck chassis," marketing director Denis Foster told CM. "We are familiar with semi-integral bodywork and this presents us with no difficulties." But he stipulated Willowbrook would only be interested in large orders.

This deal follows closely that announced two weeks ago between Ailsa and Metal Sections Limited. This offered bus operators the chance to assemble themselves a Metsec body on Ailsa chassis.
