Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

STATUTORY FEES have been fixed for the testing of vehicles and components and the issue of documentation for type approval purposes. There are two scales of charges for examination of components. One is for examination in Government or approved premises and the other when the examination is conducted elsewhere.

There is a separate set of fees for the final examination of a complete vehicle and another for the issue of documents such as the type approval certificate. '

The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval Fees) Regulations 1976, price 22p, and the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) Regulations 1976, price 28p, are available from HMSO or through any bookseller.

They come into effect on October 7.
