• The National Guild of Transport Managers has a great future, Mr Ray W. Beardsley, chairman of the national executive council, told the agm at Matlock Bath on Saturday. Mr Beardsley, who is transport manager for British Celanese Ltd, of Spondon, Derby, said the Guild had grown from an idea conceived in May 1969 into a strong organization. No one had expected membership so quickly.
