Gresham Cooke Award For DDE Men

'HE Crompton Lanchester Medal and the Gresham Cooke Prize of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers will be presented by the chairman of the Automobile Division, Dr. J. S. Clarke, at the Institution in London, on Tuesday, October 12, at 6 p.m. The Crompton Lanchester Medal will be presented to Mr. B. V. Poulston and Mr. J. C. Kirtley, both of Shell International Petroleum Ltd.

The Gresham Cooke Prize, awarded for the first dine, will be received jointly by Mr. J. G. Dawson and Mr. W. J. Hayward of Perkins Ltd., and Dr.-Ing. P. W. Glamman of Differential Diesel Engines, Vaduz (Leichtenstein).

Mr. F. Palmer, district manager at Kingsbury, will continue to operate from that depot.

Australian Rootes/Chrysler Merger : The Australian subsidiaries of the British Rootes and American Chrysler groups, which are already linked financially, are to merge. The new company will distribute the motor vehicles of the two groups.

More Profit for Clairol: Group consolidated net profit of Castro' Ltd. for the year ended December 31 last was £2,577,237, compared with £2,405,500 in the previous year. The recommended final dividend of 21 per cent makes the total dividend for the year 25 per cent.
