Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CO-OPERATIVE GROUP has been given the green light to base 200 vehicles and 210 trailers at its new £22m DC on the Castlewood Business Park in Sutton-in-Ashfield subject to the following undertakings: ● no vehicles will park or operate out of the Castlewood Business Park operating centre until suitable transport manager cover is in place, the required paperwork provided and the appointment approved by the TC; ● as well as a new transport manager solely responsible for the Castlewood Business Park operating centre, a second transport manager will be responsible for the centre as assistance.

The company plans to transfer 460 employees at an existing DC in Alfreton and about 280 at a depot in Bulwell to the new 477,000ft2 facility. It is also looking to recruit an additional 340 staff.

The centre, off the A38, will service 529 stores throughout the region, covering Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, and will be able to deliver about 68 million cases of groceries a year. It includes several energy-saving and recycling initiatives, including harvesting rainwater to reduce water demand and waste oil burning systems for heat production.

A Co-operative Group statement said: “It is anticipated that the majority of the positions at the new site will be filled by staff transferring, but the new depot is expected to create at least 340 jobs.”
