BCA's Pulse report showed that in the past nine months the average price of fleet and lease diesel vans has risen to around £4,000, having spent the previous nine months averaging a little over £3,500.

, "LPG vans, however, show more erratic price movements, largely due to the smaller numbers available to the marketplace," says Ward. Over the past 18 months average quarterly values have been as low as £2,600 and as high as £3,300. Consequently, the variance between diesel and LPG has been as low as £500 and as high as £1,100 over the period.

, "Performance against guide prices is generally very good, however, and this is another indication that the few LPG vans that reach auction are likely to be in demand. Mileage is usually lower than that of diesel products, while age at remarketing is similar to the diesel vans we sell."
