• Volvo Truck has launched Dynafleet Online, an Internet-based vehicle management system. The new service is an extension of the existing Dynafleet system: data is sent from Dynafleet-equipped vehicles using a GSM phone link direct to a central database, to be accessed by the operator via Volvo's UK website.
The new system includes fuel usage, mileage and environmental reports, as well as servicing information. This is used to generate a "service calendar" which can give advance notice when maintenance is due.
Dynafleet Online is a subscription-based service which can also be offered as part of a maintenance contract or lease agreement.
