Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Look at any box of unused tachograph charts with all the pear shapes in line, or dots as they would fit on the tacho head. You will see, by looking at the 12 o'clock mark, that they are between 30 minutes and one hour out. As you look through the cards the hours are not in the correct position and would show that you had not taken sufficient breaks.

I pointed this out to the experts at our local Vehicle Inspectorate and it was agreed that there was a substantial inaccuracy and that it would he taken up.

I would appreciate other views as this is supposed to be a legal document but shows an anomaly. The cards which the VI looked at were from a different box. I have since spoken to other hauliers and no matter where they got their charts the same problem occurred. REGC Eplett, Carlisle.
