THE SALE of the Natior Freight Company to its e ployees has turned ideas of nationalisation on its her National Freight Consortium I puty chairman Victor Paige tr the Freight Transport Assoc tion this week.
He said that the team of 10,0 NFC employees "wouldn't much on renationalisation", a said that, although the Transpl and General Workers Union c not remove its objections to t sale, most other parties involv had accepted it as a good proach to something they func mentally disliked.
Mr Paige said there is no qu( tion that many NFC employe want to play a greater part in t consortium, and have becor committed to its future, and I predicted that a new manag ment style will be needed cope with this demand.
